The facebook post as we see it

For those of you that don't know, facebook recently updated our page to show us how many people were seeing our posts. More info is a great thing right? Well we started noticing that even our more popular posts were only being seen by about 20% of our fans. We wanted to know why. So yesterday, we asked our facebook fans to like a post (shown on the left), to see if more likes would mean more of our audience would see it. We learned a few things:

1) We have some amazing fans that are willing to help out at the drop of a hat. Thank you to everyone that liked the post and gave us this info!

2) As of this writing, the facebook post had received 84 likes and was seen by 1165 people (387 fans, 800 virally, and i'm not sure why those dont add up)

3) Now the bad news. despite the turnout, we were only seen by about 30% of our fans. That means that if you liked our facebook page in the past, there's a 70% chance that you might not be seeing our posts.

What does this mean for you? If you're in that 30% minority, help us out by making sure (if enjoy our content of course) like it and share! We only hit 30% because of the great engagement from you guys, most of the time, as I said above, we hit 20%.

If you've noticed that you haven't been seeing our posts, you're probably in the other 70%, in which case, be sure to stop by the actual page at fb.com/Rubberbanditz and poke around. Like and share the content you enjoy too. Facebook uses that to decide whether or not it should show you our content. We work hard to make sure that Facebook adds value to your bands every day that you use them. We don't want to be just another exercise thing that sits in the corner gathering dust!

Let us know what you think too! Have you been seeing the posts? Have you liked what you saw?
