If you’ve been doing pilates for a while, odds are you’ve thought about increasing the intensity of your workout to avoid a training plateau. The best way to do that? Adding resistance bands to your workout, of course. This is a low cost, low impact addition to your workout that will keep you gaining strength and flexibility when regular pilates is not challenging enough.

Make sure to familiarize yourself with any and all moves and build some strength before starting up a resistance band pilates routine, as it can be quite tough (and potentially dangerous!) for beginners to try and maintain good form with added resistance.

P.S. Pilates isn’t just for the ladies, guys! Check out this pilatesdigest.com article about how to use pilates exercises (with bands, of course) to help improve your golf game. Let’s be honest, we would all like to shave a few strokes off our handicap.
