A recent article from a California newspaper reported the results of California’s statewide fitness testing, which requires students in fifth, seventh and ninth grade to go through a litany of fitness tests to measure strength, speed, and flexibility. These aren’t easy tests to pass, either. 10 year-old girls must run a mile in under 12:30 to pass just that category. Boys of the same age must come in under 11:30.

This gets you thinking…could you pass these fitness tests? According to the report, between 40 and 60% of elementary, middle and high schoolers can. Here’s a full list of the exercises and passing thresholds for each age level, up to 16 years. How do you measure up?
